The Health Shoppe has teamed up with area farmers and artesianal producers for a program which will enable us to
offer you a more extensive selection of local and regional foods. All of these farms are unique in that they use
sustainable farming techniques, and are all non-GMO. Links to the farms and artesians that we work with can be
found below where you can find more information about all of the products they carry. In addition simply call or
email us for any special requests and we will do our best to find a farmer who can provide them for you. Orders can
be placed anytime and we will call when it is ready for pick up (usually one week).

Credit card numbers MUST accompany all orders.  Pick up locations are Morristown , Monclair, and Chester .

Griggstown Quail Farm - Princeton NJ
Started in 1973 by George Rude with 12 quail on two acres of land, Griggstown Quail Farm now raises chicken,
pheasants, quail, turkey, partridge and duck.   All the birds are free-range and all natural, a standard George keeps to
this day.  Available:

Cooper Mill - Chester Township, NJ
Before the invention of steam and electric engines, people harnessed the forces of nature to power the mills that
ground wheat and other grains into flour. Frequently they settled in areas where fast flowing rivers provided a reliable
energy source. In the 1760s, one such person, Isaiah Younglove, began a flourmill at a site along the Black River in
the village of Chester. After many years and changes of ownership, the mill is now grinding flours for The Health
Shoppe from local/organic grains.  Available:

Valley Shepherd Creamery - Long Valley, NJ
Valley Shepherd combines years of artisan cheese making expertise with modern equipment from around the world
and age old European sheep farming practices.  Available:

Evans Farmhouse - Norwich, NY
The Evans family has organically raised, pasture-fed Jersey cows. What distinguishes their milk from many  other
brands is that they are non-homogenized. A fine layer of rich cream sits atop each bottle of milk. Evans Farmhouse is
a family owned and operated, USDA certified organic creamery. Available:

Hawthorne Valley Farm - Columbia County, NY
Hawthorne Valley Farm has been producing high-quality, nutritious food for more than 35 years. Their biodynamic
farming practices reflect their commitment to protecting the health of the earth and all who live on it.  Available:

Three Corner Field Farm - Shushan, New York
Three Corner Field’s sheep are raised with care and respect on beautiful, organically managed pastures, and never
given hormones or unnecessary antibiotics. They are raised the old-fashioned way: outdoors, on pasture, eating
natural grass, clover, and alfalfa.  Available:

Cayuga Pure Organics - Brooktondale, NY
Focused on creating a sustainable community in the Ithica region of NY, Cauyga Pure Organics grows beans and
grains using sustainable farming practices.  They do not use pesticides, artificial fertilizers, or genetically modified

Tassot Apiaries - Milford, NJ
The Tassots are specialized in prize-winning honey, honey products, and beeswax items from their own beehives
throughout NJ. Their honey is raw, only strained, not filtered, and not heated.   Available:

Havenwood Farms – Newton, NJ
Havenwood Farms is a small pasture based operation in Newton, NJ that currently is producing pastured organic
eggs for the Health Shoppe.  Pasturing is the traditional method of raising egg-laying hens and other poultry. It is
ecologically sustainable, humane, and produces the tastiest, most nutritious eggs.  Available:

Oak Grove Plantation - Pittstown, NJ
Oak Grove is a 160-acre Organic (Revolutionary) Farm in New Jersey. 2009 marks the 32nd year of the farm.  The
Blew family (Ted, Susan, Charity, Eric, Amanda, and Jonathan) love the work they do and are proud of their heritage
of preserving farming in NJ.  Available:

Beth’s Farm Kitchen  - Stuyvesant Falls, NY
Since 1981, Beth and her crew of ‘jammers’ have been making jam and chutney from local ingredients.  What started
with Strawberry Jam has now developed into over 90 flavors. In 2007, Beth purchased 22,404.5lbs of fruits and
veggies from local farmers!  Available:

Manx Station Farm – Greenwich, NY
Our Belted Galloway Cattle are raised on land free of pesticides and herbicides, and without steroids or hormones.  
Beef is 100% grass-fed.  Belted Galloways are an extremely hardy rare breed developed in Scotland. Because of their
double hair coat, they develop less of a fat layer, are lower in cholesterol and have beneficial levels of omega 6 acid
when compared to other breeds.  Available:

Maple Land Farms – Salem, NY
At Mapleland Farms, we take great pride in the products we offer to you the consumer. We have won numerous
contests for our maple syrup and maple products on both the local and international level. Mapleland Farms currently
averages 8,500 taps per season.  Available:

Mini Mac Farm- Long Valley, NJ
Bill and Helen McLaughlin’s cattle graze on the pasture and are rotated regularly for fresh grass.  In addition to daily
grazing, the cows are supplemented with grain made up of locally grown, naturally raised corn, soybeans and natural
minerals as well as hay from the farm.  Available:

Plaid Piper Farm – Wykertown, NJ
Plaid Piper Farm is a beautiful example of responsible farm management on a sustainable and environmentally sound
small family farm.  Our farm has been in the family for 200 years this past January (that’s 7 generations!). Healthy,
contented pigs, chickens, turkeys and cattle graze on 100 acres of natural pasture.  No growth hormones or
antibiotics are used. Our animals enjoy fresh air, sunshine, lush green grass, fresh water.  The result?  Delicious, Pure
